๐Ÿ‘ ISLE OF SKYE TOURIST BOARD โ€” VISITOR GUIDANCE No.137

SHEEP - Visitors are reminded that sheep on Skye occasionally stand in the road. They are aware. They know you are there. There is no need to sound your horn. The sheep has lived here considerably longer than you have and has nowhere particularly urgent to be. Please remain patient. Eventually it will move. Possibly. Attempting to edge your vehicle closer will generally result in the sheep looking directly at you while making no discernible change to its plans. This is normal. Please also remember that sheep have right of way on Skye. Weโ€™re not entirely sure this is legally true. But nobody has managed to explain otherwise to the sheep. - Isle of Skye Tourist Board "Please drive carefully. Youโ€™re on its road."
