Asked by Jill

How do the men in kilts manage to stay calm and focused when it’s midge season. Some areas of their body must be so painful.

Donnie replies

Donnie says calmness comes with experience. A good kilt gives the midges plenty of access, but very little certainty about where they’ll end up, which keeps everyone alert. The traditional defence is a combination of midge repellent, strategic movement and never standing still long enough for a full committee to form. Murdo says the sporran is mainly there to protect the important paperwork.

Asked by Mairi

Donnie do you know who owns that sheep on Mill road?

Donnie replies

I know who thinks they own it. The sheep has taken a different position on the matter and has been representing itself since March. If it’s the one standing in the middle of the road, that’s Morag. Don’t challenge her. She has right of way and knows it.
